The National Food and Nutrient Analysis Program (NFNAP) was designed to expand the
quantity and improve the quality of data in the United States Department of Agriculture
(USDA) food composition databases through the collection and analysis of nationally
representative samples of foods and beverages. This paper describes some of the findings
